No one likes to have their legs dangle like a toddler in a high chair. It's just not professional. The seat is comfortable (more comfortable than a coworker's $700 chair that is similar), the back has plenty of support, and overall the chair feels sturdy for my 170lb fleshy self. The footring, however, is only adjustable as long as you don't put any weight on it after adjusting it. Technically that makes it "fullly adjustable", but I want something I adjust only one time, not continually. I've tightened the knob as far as I can without damaging the threads and the plastic wedge/collar simply doesn't have enough friction to grip the hydraulic cylinder to which it is attached. If i had abnormally long shin bones or clear platform heels, I could leave the footring at the bottom... However, being highly sensative to chemicals, I found the caustic odor (which I attribute to the foam used for the seat cushion) extremely offensive, enough so that I had to put the chair into another room to air out for a week, plus. Even then, while the noxious odor had dissipated some, my throat was still bothered by the fumes, which also affected my eyes and my breathing, and gave me headaches. I would not reccommend this product. Very unhappy with it. |
