It's also just uncomfortable to have your mouse hand that high. Adjusting the tray is difficult as it naturally wants to throw itself into the highest position. The levers to lock and unlock are hidden underneath the tray making it even hard to control. Do yourself a favor and get a Fellowes keyboard tray for around a hundred bucks (half the price of these). I've got a Fellowes at home and it suits me fine. I loathe the fact the company I work for purchased these pieces of junk. When January came and things began to slow down I actually lost the use of my right arm. It was painful to move, so much so that I had to hold my hand against my waist with my left hand just to be able to get out of bed. Then when typing I did so with just my left hand for awhile. So I learned the hard was how severe an overuse injury can be. Everything is healed now and that is thanks to the keyboard tray. Now I can elevate the tray to the exact height I need so the weight of my arms is resting on the padded surface.
